What’s the next Panic buy item?

Still have TP , water and dry food so good on that front would love to say an armored personnel carrier would be a nice pick up . a good smoker tow behind would be nice when traveling next summer . oh my very own reloading press I am getting to the point that factory ammo is too unreliable not to mention its easier to hoard it if you can far more than you shoot at least i am hopping it is that or at least I'll have more reliable ammo to shoot .

Anything gun related will be going on until at least the election...if not longer depending on the outcome. Our local ffl is already telling people to get orders in for ammo for November deer season as they may not get it otherwise

Next I say Food - I’m gonna say a fruit or veggie shortage. Flooding hits corn fields Etc, everything related to corn starts to look like it may be unavailable. Or something of the sort

In all seriousness, buy a 2 pound bag of rice, a box of powdered mashed potatoes, a bag of dried beans, some powdered milk every time you go to the store for you and the family, it’s not great eating but with the right seasonings you can ride out most serious emergencies in relative comfort, all for about $12 bucks extra each trip to the store. Flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, coffee, filters, percolator. Propane, firewood, kerosene , diesel.

Urban types seem to get very concerned about water and buy up the bottled stuff when storms or viruses are headed in. Stupid, wasteful, and expensive. Better to buy filtration and storage equipment. Half filled gallon ziplocks freeze nicely, prevent food loss if the power goes out and keep water on hand. Rubbermaid tubs will hold a ton of tap water for short term problems if you have time to prep at all ( you usually do).

Keep seeds on hand, you can buy them on amazon but they’re waayyyy cheaper And of better quality at farm supply stores. obviously lead, powder, brass, primers, Spare parts, spare firearms. Keep a couple pairs of brand new shoes in storage and a mess of extra socks, if the feces hits the primary air mover, we might end up waking a bit more.

After trumps elected, tissue will run in short supply. Also flamethrowers for riot control!

I still keep 50 rounds for all the guns I had before the hurricane, in case I find some new ones on the side of the road. And I hope to hit Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes next month...in that case I'll get another box of each.

By solar still, I meant as a means for procuring water from the ground.

Those are great on paper, but not usually as efficient as you hope in use.
IF you have time to prepare now, I'd suggest stocking up on proper filtration equipment so you don't have to try to use one of those contraptions.

Seeds............ But not just any seeds. Best to grow some things now and save the seeds for future use. As much as 50% of the seeds you get online will not germinate because they are "hybrid"..... This spring the big, reputable seed suppliers shut off sales to individuals so they could supply their commercial growers. They did not even put a buyer on a waiting list. The commercial buyers went ahead and bought 2 years (or more) of seeds so they are assured to have some to plant in the spring of 2021.......

Just a word to the wise.

Don't know about hot or hoard commodities but I'm betting health care or ER treatment is gonna get hard to come by in a few more weeks. There are already (hospitals) being over run in a few places.

That's why I love being a medic and having availability to "expired" meds. Keep my STOMP2 bag fully supplied with many more stocked up at the house.

Serious question: Is being “almost a doctor” like saying “just six more inches, and I’d be a porn star”?

:p

A rifle can be a dual purpose tool.

Without ammunition, it can be used as a club.

Just saying.

Condoms is the answer. You don't want to feed all the kids you would create, from all the women seeking your protection during the apocalypse. :)

We still have four months until the election.

Will canned tuna and peanut butter disappear?

Will canned tuna and peanut butter disappear?
Interesting question..... While neither tuna or peanuts will disappear, it's the supply chain that is in question. There could be full warehouses of tuna on the West Coast and full warehouses of peanuts in the Southeast. When the commodities can not get to the market place, they disappear. We are seeing that now, to some degree. The same can be said for prescription drugs, petroleum products, electricity, natural gas and even potable water. The key to Surviving is to be resourceful enough to adapt to the rapidly changing situations. Start looking at your associates from the perspective of "Who has a Survivor's Personality" and not who has the most ammo.
