I havent started load development yet for it...they guy I bought it from gave me 168 load data...I want a 190 SMK load too for long range...What has most people found as far as 190 loads...I have H1000 and H4350 powder but can get whatever I need. To the lands is 4.16...where do the 190 SMKs like to b in relation usually?

I thought alot of people shot the 190...I found some bullets locally and thought I would try em...they didnt have any 208 amaxs in stock, but I can order them if thats the better option.

A lot of people shoot the 190's . The 208's are great but they are not the only bullet in town that hits longrange for .300wm .
SS 5r 11.27 - 25" / 190 vld / 73.0 R-22 & banging shit out past 12 & 1300 yrd. with no problems .
I understand the 208's will hang stable better when hitting the transonic wall and slow to sub-Vel. . but that is NOT a game breaker for what bullet shoots with best with predictable accuracy in your .300wm .

I shot 190 SMK's for a while. I used IMR4350 but then switched to RL22. It was so long ago that I can't remember what the load was. I moved from the 190 SMK to the 200 SMK and used 70 grains of RL22. Last year I jumped on the wagon and moved to the 208 Amax and H1000. Mostly for its ability to cheat the wind compared to the 190 or 200 SMK. My rifle shot them all very well. The SMK's seem to be pretty tolerant of seating depth. I don't have as much experience with the Amax, but am happy with the results I am currently getting. If you go to the top of the page you will find the "Snipers Hide Reloading Depot" it has specific threads for various calibers including the 300WM where loads are given. You can find exactly what everyone else is shooting there. Here is a link to the the 300WM thread:

My data that matched MK248 Mod 0 A191 ammo:
190gr. SMK bullet
72.9gr. RL-22
Federal Brass
Federal GMM 215M Primer
OAL- 3.340"
Velocity is going to be around 3,000fps w/ a 26" bbl.
I think Sierra data has a max charge of 72.7grs. if im not mistaken.
I had pulled an actual MK248 Mod 0 round and it had 72.8grs. of powder in it. Pretty much matches my charge. I dont know if they use RL-22 but I wouldnt be surprised if they did.
The 208gr. AMAX and RL-22 shoots outstanding for me with around 71.0grs. I seat them out to 3.595" with FGMM215M primer and Winchester Brass.

I had great luck with 72.7 gr of RL-22 in Winchester cases with a Fed 210M primer at 3.34 OAL. Great accuracy and consistency and great barrel life (almost 3k logged rounds)
