I have a custom .300 Win Mag due in 2 weeks. 24", 1:10 twist, #7 Palma, 5R barrel. I will be mainly hunting with a little target shooting at 100 to 700. I would like to find a heavy, over 180, ballistic tip ammo. I will reload but not a lot. I want something I can find on the shelf that will stay accurate.

Suggestions?

Cold bore... Why don't you give HSM a try with the Berger bullet... They have 210, 185,168 grain they produce...
You can find them at able ammo jus up the road from you also cabelas and iqmetals.com

Or jus plain remington core lokt 180 grains

Post up some pics of rifle when arrives, would love to see it.

Will do. Thanks for the advice. I will check out able. Appreciate it.

Federal Gold Medal Match, 190 grain Sierra Matchking, factory load.

Some lots of Black Hills (190 SMK) perform well (factory load).

If you must have a "tipped" bullet, reloading with the 208 AMax bullets would be ideal.
