I have a brand new magnetospeed and I'm testing it out. I have two rifles in 6mm Dasher. I developed loads for them with ladder testing at distance. I've never had a reliable chrono.
So what velocity nodes are most running with 105's and Varget. I have 24" barrel. What kind of SD's and ES are most getting with Dashers?

Last question anybody tracking throat erosion compared to round count?

Just started using dasher......like last week. Also, admittedly, I’m not a master at loading ammo.

But I didn’t find dasher to be very “forgiving,” but did find it easy to find a load for. If that Makes sense.

Mine ended up liking 2960 fps (32.6 varget). And also did well at slightly slower (32.5 gr).

It performed well on paper at 2890, but my sd/es wasn’t too my liking.

Most people seem to be in the ~2950 area with dasher.

This is my load for my dasher...
105 hyb
32.9g varget
Cc1 450s

2960 fps out of a 26in bartlien 1-7.5 twist
Sd- 1.7 to 3
Very consistent of 5 shot groups
I ran a 14 shot group while doing load development and had a SD of 4.8... probably luck lol

My last two barrels have seemed to like the 105 hybrids right around 2910-2920, with really good accuracy and ESs around 10. Have couple of buddies that have had the same results. Different lots of varget will show almost a full grain of difference to get there, but seem to be around 31.7-32.4. We're all shooting 26" barrels.

So here is where I'm at now. Two rifles 24" 32.7 varget, 105's, cci450 gets me 2936 with sd 8.3
Second rifle 24" 32.6 varget, 105's cci450 gets me 2957 with sd of 8.0

I thought my SD's would be a little lower, That said both guns shot the cold bore shot 14-16fps slower than the average. That would raise the SD's a little. These were 8 shot strings shooting suppressed.

Anybody else have their cold bore shots that far off from the average.

112 Match Burners
32.2 Varget
2864 fps 27" Bartlein 1-7
.030 jump
ES 8 SD 3.4

105 Hybrids
I'm using Norma's brass with a Norma chance
If I remember correctly, I'm at 31.9 Varget
CCI 450s
0.020" jump
0.001" neck tension
2930ish fps
SD under 8, ES under 13

I load for 4 Dashers, 2 my own, 2 rifles I had built for kids.
Mine #1
27" HH
110 Sierra
205M
.010" jump
34gr of RL 16
2920 fps
Hydro formed brass
Tight numbers and a hammer, at 1200 rds, throat and first part of the barrel look way worse than it should, low pressure load
#2
26" Bartlien
110 Sierra
.010" jump
CCI 450
31.8gr Varget
2920 fps
Fireformed brass
Good load, not my beast work, I'd have to re-chrono to get numbers.
Kids rifle #1
26" Proof CF
105 Hybrid
.012" jump
CCI 450
31.4 gr H4895
2940fps
Hydro formed brass
Under 6 ES, most accurate rifle I have ever shot
#2
26" Proof CF
105 Hybrid
.012" jump
CCI 450
31.1gr H4895
2915fps
Fireformed brass
Pretty accurate rifle for a 9yr old.

I use a .265" bushing for all, no other neck treatments
Same reamer was used for all, 104 FB if I recall. If I continue with Dasher for myself, I will throat it out more for 110's, allow for more capacity to utilize RL 16

OP, I will get a throat erosion check on rifle that has 1200 tds down it, curious myself. Still shoots w/o an adj.
