I am looking for a decent steel framed pistol with a rail.

Have read some good reviews on the CZ even though I thought I would never own one.

Anyone have one and can comment on them?

They appears to be built well.

I have had glocks and other Polymer pistols and 1911s and just want a little change.

Regards

World champion IPSC shooter is using one I do believe. I think he is shooting the shadow edition. They have their place in IPSC due to the mag capcity being 2 more than most.

From your description of what your looking for it sounds like the cz sp01 is perfect. I have had several of the cz 75 variations and they are quite good for the money. Not as accurate as the cz-75's I've had in the past but still very good.

+1....its a great platform. Mine will eat any type of crappy ammo to high end ammo without a hiccup. You won't be disappointed with it.

A gentleman who frequents the pistol competitions at my local range was breaking in a SP01 Phantom that he just purchased. He was double tapping bugholes with his. He offered me a run with it and I must say that I was quite impressed.

I don't have the SP01, but I have a 75b which is basically the same gun in a different looking package. My 75b is a excellent shooter and more accurate than I am. Pick on up if it fits your bill.. I think you will be happy. Look up "Angus" for CZ.. he can do some amazing things with a CZ.

Shot one of their custom shop guns in uspsa production, until the rule change. On the custom shop guns they removed the firing pin saftey, for a lighter trigger pull. Rule change made removing a saftey in production a no no. It was a great pistol. Light felt recoil due to weight, and scary accurate. Check out Angus hobdell's website www.ghost holster.com his shop is the US custom shop, and he has all the CZ goodies.
