tubb brake come with a 6mm hole so you must broach the hole to accommodate.......however, its tunable and by some demonstrable measure the most effective......

Same here and for the same reasons, another plus for me is he is semi local to me.
On my .308 I had a AAC 7.62-SD brake mount for the obvious reasons and on my 6.5x47 I have a Badger FTE so I can take it off easily for a direct thread can.
.338 LM, Badger FTE. Why?......big, ugly, LOUD and it works!
.308, R&D RAD Rapid Brake. Why?......slim profile, user removable for cleaning, little felt recoil even with 208 Amax's & able to maintain sight picture/stay on target.

Well I'm kind of stumped. My barrel is .700" will 5/8x24 work on this? Can one of the larger ones be contoured down to match? Won't this take away the recoil reduction?
How about the Straight Shot flat/slab type brake. Looks like it would work great??
Holland because it looks damn good, and works great. Little Bastard because it works great, and can also be blended to look like it's part of the barrel. Badger FTE because you don't have to time it, and some guys like that bold look on their rifles, and it also works well. Surefire if you're going to use their suppressor which takes forever to get.
The APA little bastard does a great job and is easily contoured to be a natural blended extension of your barrel. Your sniper partner will however not be be happy. I am one of those partners - and I can say with 100% certainty its a little bastard. I am starting to get used to spent Varget getting blown into my sinuses at 250mph though!

I like this one and the RAD. Will the RAD work on a .700 barrel????

I bought the same one. I love it. I will be sure to buy more from him.
Not meaning to thread jack but to everyone that uses a BO brake. How does it work when shooting prone in dirt ? Does it kick a lot of dirt all over the place ? Thanks for info.
I use the Badger FTE. I have found it to be exceptionally effective at recoil reduction, it doesn't kick dust and debris up from the ground, and it is easy to take off or put on.
On the downside it is loud and concussive, but I haven't seen any brakes that aren't.
We have gone to the new Benchmark Barrels breaks. VERY effective and the set screw allows easy removal for cleaning. This is the larger version, I don't have a picture of the smaller one.

I have two of these brakes and they work great. No ports on the bottom to worry about dust blow up. It makes my 7mm Mag feel like a .223 and at $45 its half of what anything on the market of equal quality is.
