What can I do to pull .408 bullets from a loaded round (Cheytac)

How many do you have to disassemble? Have you tried impact puller? If the proper collet isn't available or one a little smaller won't work... you can push the round up through the press and grab the bullet with vise grips and then retract the ram.
Hornady and Forster make pullers too.

I have a regular bullet puller and tried to pull bullets from a .338 lapua. I found out
the case was too big to fit in bullet puller. So by not using the screw on cap or shell
holder; I just stuck it in and hit the floor. After 3 or 4 hits bullet was pulled, however
case was stuck in plastic bullet puller. To get it out, I put it over RCBS press and slid
the shell holder into ram and the same time over the case. Now by pushing handle
up, the top of press held bullet puller as the ram removed case. Try and make a "T"
handle tool to fit the .408 or maybe hollow out a bullet puller, then smack the floor.

i took a cheapo kinetic puller and some crap brass for my 338. i torched the brass and pushed it into the puller which formed the chamber to the proper size. did this a few times to get it a bit smoother. Then i take the case holder put it on the case and drop it into the puller screw the cap on and voila works perfect.

Not sure how much bigger the 408 is but just thought i would throw it out there.

I got a Hornady collet puller from Sinclair. Works great. My Jamison ammo is about 15% duds so I pull'em and reprime with 215MM's.This is not a Sinclair recommendation.
