Rifle Scopes What can you tell me about this scope?

I picked up a Leupold M8-6x42 AO Tactical in Matte today off craigslist brand new in box, had the paperwork and everything. I did some research before buying it and I found that they were going for about $200-250 used on the web but I couldn't find much on this exact model. This one has the taller turrets and is marked "Tactical" it's Leupold part# 50229.
I ended up buying it because I got it for $180

and like I said it was brand new in box with paperwork and all. I think it'll make a nice scope for my target ar but I'd like to know a little more about this model. Thanks for any help!

It's an older model ( maybe 2001?) Leupold tactical I think pre-Mark 4 fixed 6x scope.Decent scope, good for target shooting but with a duplex reticle you're not going to be ranging or holding over to make shots.Probably worth what you paid it'll be fine for what you're gonna do.

Interesting.... he told me it was a "couple years old" not that I care it's still brand new and it's old enough that it's still made in the US.
