Well i am having a rough time deciding were to go from here with my Jon Beanland custom 6.5 creedmoor. This rifle shoots everything i put through!! I had some time this afternoon so i headed out to do a little load development, and i think i am more confused now than i was before i left. I always knew this rifle was a shooter, but how in the heck am i going to pick a load to go with, when they all shoot!! LOL!!! Life is tuff!!! That Jon Beanland sure knows how to build a rifle people!!!
Just to let you know what your looking at. Range was 100 yards. Temp was 45 wind switching all around at about 8mph. Orange dots were points of hold. All groups were shot off the corner of the squares. Any shots up in the circles were Fowler's and of all different bullets weights and powders. Just getting the barrel warmed up! Bullets from right to left are Berger 130vld with 46.3gr of 4831SC. velo was 3000. Middle group was going to be 2 3 shot groups but it was so nice i went for a 6 shot group. Load was 140gr vld Berger hunting bullets, with 45.5gr of 4831SC velo average was 2885. Last groups on the right are 123gr sierras with 46gr of 4831SC. Velo was 2960. The only thing i didnt care for was the amount of velo spread i had while using 4831SC. The spread average would be 30fps on the extreme side of the average, more like 20 to 25 fps spread. I think i will try Varget and 4350 next. Just thought i would share! Enjoy, and of course opinions wanted!!
