What do you think of the Tikka M55 ???

I have just purchased a Tikka M55 rifle in mint condition with a newly fitted unfired 26" PacNor 1 in 9 twist barrel. The rifle is currently in the standard wooden stock and the stock is immaculate.

I am considering taking the rifle out of the wooden stock and having it bedded into a McMillan A3/5 stock.

Do you think this is a good idea, or would it be a waste of money. I have been told that the Tikka M55 action is a really good well regarded action.

What do you think ???

I will be using the rifle for long range varmint shooting and paper punching upto 600yds.

Looks terrific the way it is. What caliber? Are you going to rebarrel?

It has already been re barrelled with a PacNor 1 in 9 .223Rem.

shoot it for awhile as is, and you be the judge. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
