what else do I need for custom build

Looking to put a rifle together but never have done this before. Was wondering what else I need besides the list I have come up with so far..

Obermeyer AMU barrel 308
R700 action(S/A) from a rem 700 sps
Mcmillan HTG stock
rem bottem metal, triger gaurd, and internal mag box from the rem 700 sps(if it will fit mcmillan stock correctly)
Jewell hvr trigger
picatinny scope mount

I will have action trued and barreled by local smith who has a reputation for great work. Barrel to be cut down to 24" and crowned...Not sure how to have action bedded.

Any input you guys have would be great....

Recoil lug
ANY Rem S/A with a standard bolt face
CDI bottom metal and detachable mag for Rem s/a
McMillan A-5 or Manners mcs 4 stock
Change 308 to 260 caliber
have action pillar bedded to stock

Bolt knob, rings, scope, pillars for bedding job, bedding compound, paint, texturing compound, ammo, reloading gear, sling swivel studs, bipod, sling, rear rest, barrel reamer if it's chamber isn't already cut for 308 Win, recoil lug, action screws if the factory units aren't long enough, scope covers if you're into them, bubble level, gun case, range bag for haulin' crap the easy way, any other shooting accessories you may want.

Alot of this stuff is unecessairy and probably not what you're looking for but I figured I'd list the obvious that came to mind.

yup, get those bullets. Shooting is more important than all the bells and whistles.

You may want to cut that barrel down to 20in depending on what you want to do with the rifle.Or if you are thinking about later on putting a suppressor on.

i have most of that list Dylan...been hunting and shooting for a while now but just always bought my rifles at a gun shop....now i want something that shoots better then a stock rifle....eventually i'll save up enough and get my self a GAP crusaider....just want a rifle built with mcmillan htg stock in woodland camo first...

as for putting a suppressor on the rifle in the future...I cant....i live in NY...we cant do half the cool stuff other states let people do to guns....suppressors are one of those things
