what happens if you try to shoot a 300 blackout in a 300 hamr, and vice versa

I have both a 300 blackout and a 300 hamr. They both use the same mag, so it would be very easy to accidentally shoot the wrong bullet. I don't plan on trying it, but would like to know what would happen If I accidentally got them switched?

A HAMR will shoot in the blackout chamber and come out with the case expanded to straight wall, or close to. And maybe some gas blowback.

A blackout will not chamber in a HAMR barrel

You could just get Lancer mags for hamr

I don't think you're wrong. The hamr has the longer case of the two.

You’re right, I had that backwards. The BO will chamber in the HAMR but not the HAMR in the BO.
