What height are these rings? They are the perfect height for me, but I want some Burris Zee rings, and want to make sure I order the correct height. I'm really thinking these are mediums, but I want to make sure. I still have lots of clearance and probably could go with lower rings clearance wise, but how it's mounted works well for me as I get a good cheek weld. So should I order the mediums or do these look like lows?

Re: What height are these rings?

Well, the term "medium" doesn't translate to an industry standard of measurement when it comes to rings. The best thing to do is to use a micrometer and measure from the bottom of the ring mount (flat spot) to the center of the ring, this is how most manufacturers measure their rings. Its the only accurate way to get the size you need.

Well, I measured them with my caliper. However, the rings I've looked at do not mention the height in terms of inches. They just list "medium", "high", "low", etc. That's why I asked.

Ring height in words (low, med, high, etc.) is relative to a manufacturer, not the industry.

Use a ruler or caliper (which I prefer, since dimensions are typically in decimal inches, as in thousanths of an inch).

Go to the manufacturer's website and search around for a spec sheet that has dimensions of their products. There are sometimes drawings that have a legend indicating where the specific dimensions are derived.

Never a question with Badger.
