Rifle Scopes what height rings

I have a remington 700 .308 with a Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist A2 stock with a nikon scope and standard leopold rings and mount.

I have a heck of a time getting low enough to see through the scope what height rings can I go with.

I do have a 20moa base on order.

You question can be answer by reading one of the large, sticky threads at the top of the optics forum entitled "Ring Height Info - How to Measure Correctly" as seen here:

At a minimum, if you can't get the measurements and calulations made on your own, you'll need to:

1) get your Leupy base/rings removed;
2) get your 20MOA base installed; and
3) measure the height from your rail (from the front/leading edge) to the barrel AS WELL AS the outside diameter of your scopes bell, including any additional width with things like butler creek or other scope covers installed.

From there...measure twice, cut once as the old saying goes.
