Rifle Scopes What is dual focal plane

was looking at some burris scopes....never heard of Dual FFP.

Red dot horseshoe reticle is in the second focal plane so it is always the same size and useful, the BDC reticle is in the first focal plane so it it calibrated correctly at any power.

wow.....sounds good. I have never had a second focal plane scope.....sounds like the best of both worlds

It's more likely you've never had an FFP not an SFP. By the way the USO 1-8x red dot has the dot in the SFP.

I have only had FFP scopes the past 20 years. To be honest I can't imagine using a SFP
