Ok so I'm trying to use the new search function and not coming up with any results...

I'm trying to mount a 5-25 Tpal that I got from Lazy21 (great guy & price by the way) on my DTA in a DTA 30moa mount and I have 2 minor issues

1st With the scope all the way back in the mount the elevation knob comes into contact with the top of ring. I raised it 1mil and that eliminated that problem as I have yet to zero the rifle I won't know if its affecting anything

2nd On the objective bell I have only 8 thousandths of an inch clearance. I used my feeler gauges and it reads .008
    Will this be enough ?

    Thanks for any help

.008" is probably not adequate. Have you ever seen a slow-motion video of a scoped rifle firing? The scope wiggles around like its made of rubber. I'd be concerned your high $$ scope is going to smack your barrel during recoil.

I am concerned about this but haven't seen the effects of a 308 in a DTA chassis system.

    The mount I'm using is a 30moa could a 20moa alleviate my problem ?
Does anyone have measurements of the DTA mount ?

    Thanks again for the help

Oh wow. With that long of a scope I would think 10MOA would make a huge difference at the bell. Wish I could help AND owned a DTA! ;)

I use Ultra High MAX 50 Badgers with my 3.2-17x44 T-Pal on my monolithic 0MOA AR10. I use Badger High MAX 50's on my AX chassis and 20MOA base. The bell barely clears the extension with the flip up attached.
