Springfield has a Loaded Micro Compact 1911 that is a 3" model, but I can't seem to find this same version in a 4" configuration. Is it not offered or am I just a moron and cant find it? I see they have a Loaded Lightweight Champion (Green/Black), not the GI model, in 4" version and a Loaded Lightweight Champion Operator in a 4" version as well. Are these the only two options in a SA 4" Lightweight 1911?

***My research is hindered a bit because i am unable to get on the SA website from my work computer and the SA site is not iPhone friendly either due to flash player.

    Any help would be appreciated.

So they do not offer a stainless lightweight 4" 1911 of any kind?

Lightweight being anything in a 4" less than 30oz.

Yeah I have a few kimbers, just sold a 5" and wanted to give a springfield a try. I found a loaded lightweight champion (not the GI) on GB for about $875, but I can't find anyone who knows anything about them. I guess I'm going to get a CDP Pro or a Tactical Pro.

Going to be hard to find an all STAINLESS STEEL gun that light. Any all steel gun is going to weigh 35oz or higher. You saw the Loaded Champion, the LW Champion, and they may still make the GI Champion all of which are 4".

If you are looking for a COMPACT as your title states (4" slide and officers frame), SA used to make a Compact that I believe is still available through the Custom Shop. According to the site, that was 26oz empty but it had an alloy frame. Highly sought after so even used they get a premium.

If you are indeed looking for a compact, there are plenty of other CCO (4" slide/Officers Frame) options from other vendor but most have an allow frame. Kimber makes a Compact that is 27oz that has a stainless slide.

Dan Wesson and others also make a CCO but, as stated, the frames are aluminum. Les Baer makes a stainless CCO called a Stinger that has a Stainless slide and frame. I've got the park'd version but, as mentioned, it's 35oz.
