Premier Reticles, Schmidt & Bender, Night Force and now the new Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20X50 all seem to have contracts. Can anyone tell me who is buying which scope?

- Premier is just about exclusivly USMC
- S&B is in use by the USMC (assembled by Premier) and various units in Army SF
- Nightforce just about exclusively by the Navy with many sold to Army SF and Ranger units. Also in use by Air Force and USMC. Our bullet hole scope was from a Recon unit.
- Leupold is in use by the big Army with many still in Army special operations. Also used by USMC on various platforms.

- L3 with the EO Tech and Elcan with their 1x/4x scope are part of the newer SOPMOD package. Other than that, you get small unit orders for others. While in my travels I've never seen a USO in use by Special Operations types, I know Frank said in the past that he's seen the occasional one come through Rifles Only with them on.

Correct on the NF contract. In use by special ops and snipers in all 4 branches. Here are the details of the contract.

Also, as NF Bill said, there are others in small-batch orders. This includes U.S. Optics. There are some SN3 1.8-10x44 that ended up on certain USMC-issued M40A3's. These scopes had what Quantico 'smiths called "the toughest and clearest lenses ever tested at our facility." That's some compliment, especially considering the source.
