You have no idea how close you actually are. Buddy from work just asked If I knew what it was and for/from.

Can't imagine what kinda round/sabot it may be.
I ain't no dumbass. I can tell that pic is not taken in your dinning room.

I was thinking sabot but I assumed the brass/copper collar near your pinky is part of the bullet. That would make it hard (impossible) for it to separate from the steel (dull silver) outer piece (jacket?).

    Does it come apart?

Not my hand. It's a co worker in Jail! Looks like a pressure band towards the bottom and assuming it's fired from a shouldered weapon. I doubt it can be pulled apart, dumbass. ?

Hello I Purchased a 20mm Round at auction and arrival have wondered if it was a reproduction? to me the finishing of the fuse looks modern and also the wall thickness of the projectile looks too thin. also none of my other fuses that i own fit the projectile.

I am interested in what people think of it.
The projectile has the following printed on it.
    Mk3 54H
    5/43
    MAT

Shell has "20mm Mk2 1943" with a little circle with a "B" printed in it.

    Regards
    Bart

    I believe this is a US-Navy 20x110 HS-404 with a MK3 HE or MK3 HEI shell with Fuze PD MK26.
