Zeiss LRP S3 4-25x with 46.5 mils of total elevation travel I can dial to near 700 yards without having to hold over...not that I can hit anything at that range, but in a Long Gong comp, I could easily dial, when others were running out of ups. Schott ED glass, great tracking, good turrets and even illumination checked all the boxes for me. 30moa rail and 20 moa mount help as well.

Burris XTR Pro w/ SCR2 reticle

It’s been on my Vudoo for the last two-and-a-half seasons and I liked it so much I bought two more for other rifles.

What I like about it:
I really like the SCR2 reticle. It makes sense to my brain and the 0.2 mil increments are easy to see
Glass is decent, not super high-end quality but it didn’t come with a super high-end price tag either
Parallaxes down to 20 yds
24-26 mils of internal elevation travel so good enough to get me out to 400-ish yds w/ a 40MOA base
Easy to grab parallax and elevation knobs
Race dial w/ the white board is really handy
Capped windage knob which I like since I hold for wind and never dial
12 mils per rotation on the elevation turret (vs 6 on my old scope…. that sucked)
Zero stop w/ ability to go -0.4 mils
Don’t need tools to adjust zero
Pretty wide FOV so I can typically run around 16x magnification

What I don’t like about it:
You gotta make sure the tension on the flip lever of the internal turret is tightened down or the turret will free-wheel on you. It’s only happened once to me, but it was during a match and I had to go re-zero.

This just happen to me for the first time..after 2 years of using the scope..I was running a stage and I twisted it, and I thought, did that thing just skip some clicks? Nah, must have been a brain fart..So I slowly twisted and it clicked...I go to the next stage, and I went to dial..and I knew for sure I was screwed.. lol.. it rotated, missed about half the clicks but moved the full distance.. After the stage I pulled the turret off and realized what had happen.. Happy 3rd place for me after falling from first but I did felt like i wont something when I realized I didnt have to send the scope back..


I didnt even realize it was thing that could happen before then.

I run an ATACR 7-35 MIL-XT on my T1X in a KRG chassis.

I swapped to a Razor 3 briefly, but didn't like the parallax wheel, and especially not the turrets. I had one lock on my during a stage and they don't unlock very fast at all. The ATACR just does what I want it to, and I don't notice anything about it. The parallax wheel is the just right, the turrets with a turret tape are great. It's a bit overkill magnification wise, but it's not bad. It's very clear at 12x - 20x where I'm shooting at anyways.

Above all, I like the reticle. My preferred reticles are JVCR, MIL-XT/C, PR2, SCR2 variants. Leupold and USO's FDN line don't have low enough parallax, and Burris doesn't have my trust mechanically like the NF and USO has. The MK4 has low enough parallax, but I don't like to run non-flagship optics, as I believe the flagship optics of a given company will have better support, and be more reliable.

March's new FML-WBR looks incredible too. If I had that budget right now, I'd be looking at that new March 5-42.

My main rimfire scope is my Tract Toric 4-25 with almost 50 mils of elevation, crystal clear glass and a solid reticle. Even though I hate money and could buy a ZCO or Tangent Theta, I honestly don't wish for anything with the Tract.

I also run a Kahles 5-25 DLR with SKMR4 reticle on another rimfire, mostly because I'm not using it on centerfire lately and I like the reticle, and the parallax dial location. But, I'm tempted to put it on my AXMC and get another Tract for rimfire.

I run the same scope and have had the same thoughts. There isn't anything I feel like I'm missing out on. My only notes are that the turrets are tall, and the unlock stroke is long. But I mostly hold over so it's not a big thing for me.

Of all the tier 1 scopes, maybe the Kahles 328i is on my list for a future money pit.
