What do y’all think caused this? This is right next to a scenic overlook in a state or national park Hunting season has been over for over a month. There are giant mountain lions and wolves here. But I don’t get the decapitation . That seems like unnecessary work for a animal. And I would think a poacher would drop the evidence off in a less conspicuous place.

Didn’t want to get too close the hill was steep and it was getting dark. Felt like I wasn’t being watched lol :
