Looking for advice with trying to save a few bucks on a scope base. Would like to find one with a recoil lug/lip ala Badger.

Bonus if it has an ejection port cut out which is extra hard to find with short-action.

Mounting on a second .308 Remington 700 that I will have to share my only scope with, which sits in Badger rings.

Weaver Tactical bases have a recoil lug, but no ejection port. They're also very inexpensive and quite nice quality.

Thanks guys. I'll look into those suggestions.

Found a steel-alloy TPS for $65 w/6-48 screws (which is what I need). Haven't checked them out before, their stuff looks nice.

Do yourself a favor, buy the Badger Ordnance base. Buying anything else would make you pennywise...but pound foolish.

Have to wait till the next pay period to see if I can swing it.

Ken Farrell and EGW use angle head screws which in effect make 4 small recoil lugs. That rail isn't going anywhere.

All had the recoil lug, all fit fine and no rail fitment issues.

IMO Near and Seekins are a cut above. </div></div>
This guy got it right. You will not go wrong with Seekins or Near.
