Rifle Scopes What scope has the most windage available on the turret?

I was out yesterday shooting at 1830 yards and I needed 8 to 10 mils of windage to impact the target. My Kahles maxes out at just over 6mils, and my nightforce Beast is about the same. I looked at the Tangent Theta, and they list 10mils, but I found some pictures online that appear to indicate that it only has 6mils on the turret. Is there a scope with more than about 6 mils of windage?

Dial down a bit and use your reticle for the wind hold. If you have to, dial some and hold the rest. With the erector travel likely maxed out or close to it, no scope is going to have much windage left.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I did. It's a 6.5 creedmoor which needed 24.2 mils of elevation and depending on gusts about 8 to 10 mils of wind. The Kahles is mounted on 40moa-ish cant (20moa on the base and 6mils on the spuhr), so it topped out at 22 and a bit. I've got the skmr3 reticle in there, so I dialed 18 mils and that put me on the 6mil line of the christmas tree which has 3mils of wind hold. I dialed 6mils of wind and held the rest. So the Kahles can certainly get the job done, but as a comparison something I really appreciate about the nightforce beast is that I can dial 28 mils of elevation, so I could have just worked directly with the horizontal stadia line when I ran out of windage adjustment.

The TT has 6 mils marked in either direction. But the turret keeps going out past that. It will obviously depend on where your zero is as well.

Must have been super windy for you haha. The farthest I've shot is 1580. But I didn't need more than 2mil of wind.

Yes, it was pretty windy. My kestrel measured 12 to 15 mph winds, but we were blocked by trees and topology. The wind between the hills must have been a bit more. Using a shooting app we calculated that uniform 21mph winds would have given us deflections like that. After looking around a bit at other optics, it looks like everything has about 5 or 6 mills of adjustment. The Tangent Theta specs say +- 10 mils, and I'd be interested to know if that's the case in reality. As soon as they offer a reticle that I like I'll pick one of those up. It seems like it was just a abnormally high wind drift to deal with (maybe not for some). Maybe I need a H59 in a second focal plane scope, so I can dial it down to half power setting and get double the wind holds in the reticle. Or I could set the target a little closer...

Yes the TT has about 10 mil to either side. If you're waiting for a new reticle it's going to be about 5+ years so don't hold your breath lol

The BEAST has more, it just has the windage limiter on it. You'd have to loosen the screw, and move the turret to the other side of the limiter to keep dialing.

Just curious what size target are you shooting at 1830yds?

Why not just shoot a more appropriate rifle than a 6.5 creedmoor for that kind of distance? I understand doing it to say you can but if you shoot that far often enough to justify possibly changing an optic to gain a specific feature then surely it's enough to justify having a dedicated ELR rifle. That's my $.02

The target was a full size IPSC. It was either that or the 65% IPSC, so I went with the big one. When the wind isn't blowing we can hear the impacts! It takes a while, but with electronic ears the sound does get's back to us. I've thought about getting a more appropriate ELR rifle, but I don't really want to set up two rifles. I've got one good rifle, and I just use it for everything. I do have scope ADHD, so the Kahles was on it most recently. The Beast is my real love though. And I would like to try a S&B...
