I need a scope for a ultra light weight build I am doing on a 10/22. I need good tracking as I shoot out to 250 yards and my budget limits me to 500$ unless of course a slight uplift would get me something better. magnification needed is no more than 10x and honestly I don't even need that. The scope need not be super tough as this will be a range only gun on perfect weather kinds of days when I don't feel like shooting in the rain, snow, mud.
Was thinking of using my MK4 1.5-5 on it till I can get something more fitting.
The scope that had caught my eye was the Sightron 1-7 scope but I haven't heard much on it.

Re: What scopes fit my requirments

Get an SWFA fixed 10 power. You'll have enough adjustment to shoot out to 250 yards.

Wind is a pain in the ass with a 22 and the mildots will be very useful for holds and the SPR reticle will have you spinning knobs more than taking shots.

Hmm. So you want a reliable, fair weather, scope that won't break the bank. You might want to look for a used Bushnell 5-15X40 tactical. I have one on a CZ 452. Other than being a little on the large size, it's a great scope. Too bad they've been dropped from production.

I will look into the SWFA scopes as i have liked the prices people mentioned on here. Another thing I forgot to mention is being able to adjust parallax is a must and being able to adjust it down to 15 yards, do to that being the indoor range near my house, is an even bigger plus.

+1 on a fixed power super sniper.

If you happen to want one of these, I noticed them on Overstock.com today (helping my brother-in-law look for a scope). There is a 10% off link at slickguns.com for overstock now.

Re: What scopes fit my requirments

I placed a Simmons Aetec 2.8-10 on my heavy barreled 10/22 awhile ago. I'm very aware of the quality of Simmons but this scope has been more than amazing for a 22. Tracking, clarity, and reliability have all been perfect on it. Other than this scope I'd recommend a Supersniper as well for your price range.
