Hi, Im planning on mounting a Bushnell tactical elite 5-15x40 scope on my sps tactical. My question is will the 30mm burris xtr rings work? Oh I will use the burris 2 piece base also. What height should I go with?

probably medium. If i remember right the ring height on the xtrs are higher than other brands. You might be able to get by with lows

I put Medium Signatures on my 5R with a Nightforce 20moa base.
Still plenty of room.

if you had the base, the scope and a stack of pennies... lows are 1/4" then its 1/2" med, 3/4" high and 1" extra high. set the scope on the pennies then measure the pennies and match the height with the ring. thats how i did it, then i read about others doing it here.
