Yes, it has been. However, I'll tell you because my answer is correct and explains why:

<span style="font-weight: bold">#47 OBJECTIVE

#18 EYE</span>

<span style="font-weight: bold">NOTE:</span> A #46 Objective will also fit (on the Objective), but it is undersize and fits way too tight. As a result of this overly tight fit, the "lid" of the BC is extremely hard to open, and the extra force required to open the cover stresses the plastic hinge when the "lid" finally pops opens. This will eventually cause the hinge to break. <span style="font-weight: bold">The #47 OBJECTIVE will slide-on with firm pressure and will fit snugly, but not <span style="font-style: italic">overly tight like a #46 will.</span></span>

For future reference, you should add <span style="font-style: italic">sobrbiker883</span>'s "<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">BC Flip up sizes</span></span>" to your <span style="font-style: italic">"Watch List"</span> by selecting <span style="font-style: italic">"Add Topic to your Watched Topics"</span> from the <span style="font-style: italic">"Topic Options"</span> drop-down menu. You must be signed-in to for the drop-down menus to be visible (and therefore selectable).

Re: What size Butler Creek Cap for 56mm S&B

I bought a pair of Butler Creek Caps in the late '90's and based on this experience I purchase a pair a month ago for a new S&B scope. When they arrived I could tell they are no longer the same quality and several SH members have reported failures of these new ones that are no longer made in the USA. I will not put them on my scope. I'm searching for a better quality product but haven’t found anything yet.
