You might want to call the guys at limbsaver or maybe HS Precision. I put a limb saver on my HS Precision stock, but had to cut the stock down an inch to adjust the LOP. After having trimmed the stock, I wound up having to go with the Limbsaver for a Remington 870.
I don't know about that managing recoil by driving the rifle correctly. I get straight behind my rifle when I shoot and after a 150 to 200 round session, I'm pretty glad that I have a limb saver.
