what size rings for .308 Savage 10 FCP-K & Leupold

I need help picking out rings that are as low as possible. I saw a picture here of a guy with my same rifle my same base (EGW 20 MOA) and some medium rings and the scope looked a bit too high. I dont want to buy low ones and have them not fit. Opticsplanet said i need extra high rings but I think that the costumer rep was high! My set up is the Savage 10 FCP-K with a EGW 20 MOA base(Picatinny) and a leupold mark 4 6.5-20x50mm lr t with M1 turrets. The rings I want are the Burris Xtreme Tactical 30mm Picatinny rings but I dont want them to be too high. Let me know if you guys(and gals) have any idea if the low rings will work or should I just stick with the medium rings. Here is a picture of the same rifle with the same base, with medium rings and a 42mm objective scope (Looks way high). I look forward to your responce.
