I am putting a US Optics B-25 on an AR10, it has full length pic rail. I want the scope system to be good to at least 1000yds[ preferable 1500yds if optics won't get too weird at 100yds, ] The turret area of the scope looks long.
Is the cantilever necessary? I was hoping to get away without a cantilever mount mainly if I decided to put the scope on another rifle.
Thanks for the reply!
For my purpose it was because I have a 13.5" length of pull and the scope has about 3.5" of eye relief. I originally contacted Spuhr and started with a 4603B mount, which is not a cantilever, but the scope was further back then I wanted. Here is my original post with the 4603B non-cantilever mount if it helps, you may have already seen it. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/knights-armament-sr-25-e2-pr.6910059/
Just so you know, Spuhr makes the 4616 with quick disconnects and they may have the 4603B with QD's? Also note that the mounts I am using have a 20.6 MOA/6 mil mount for the +1,000 yrd. They may have other models if you don't want the rise in the mount. Spuhr is great to work with. I would send an email and have a response the next day because of the time difference.
Also wanted to share that for me, the anti-cant level in the mount isn't easy to see with the big eyepiece on the US Optics scope so I added the Knights anti-cant level. Much better.
