I have a GAP-10 in .308 and am looking to rebarrel it in a 6.5CM or .260 Rem. However, I can't seem to get an answer from anyone as to what "pattern" it is (DPMS, Armalite, SR-25, Frankenstein, etc) and what other barrel manufacturers are compatible. I tried calling GAP today and got 4 different voicemails on 4 different extensions. So I guess no one was at work today. I also called Seekins up to ask the same question and the answer was its "loosely" based on an SR-25 (exact quote). I got the rifle in 2012 or 2013, so not sure if Seekins was doing the recievers back then as I vaguely recall the GAPs were using POF receivers early on.

Can anyone help? I'm leaning towards a JP Barrel as I've had fantastic luck with one of their precision AR-15 barrels. But even the guys at JP are not 100% sure their barrel will be compatible.

Huge thanks in advance for any help or insight.

If it's before Seekins (AKA POF) it's Armalite, and the current Seekins use there own proprietary design. But!!! If you're NOT wishing to use the same components you can rebarrel those receiver sets in any platform you desire.

A JP barrel will work just fine in any of them you just have to run the JP Barrel and JP complete BCG.
