Re: What to expect out of an AR?
The 10-X ring of the NRA HP Prone Rapid Fire target is 7 inches or 2.33 MOA. I have more then once cleaned these targets in prone rapid fire (thats using the sling position, no support), 10 shot s in 70 second with a mag. change.
I've done it with my White Oak Service rifle and Heavy Match M1A, With iron sights.
The White Oak can do it, I assume if you use a bench and scope, you should be able to cut that in half.
I shot this target setting rapid, (8 rounds) using Speer 64 gn Gold Dot for LE) on the 600 yard reduced to 100 yards target, to test the round fo ran up coming LE sniper school I'm teaching. If you look at the target you'll see that a 1 in. group. I have no doubt I could cut that down by using match ammo. Again I was using the White Oak Service Rifle with iron sights.
I have not doubt the WOA upper will out shoot me. I think if the shooter is able, the WOA can get below one inch or 1/3 MOA at 300. It's up to the shooter.
