I have a Sig Sauer 716 3-Gun-Heavy rifle with an 18" barrel. it has a 6 position Carbine tube extension and carbine Buffer and a flat coil spring system. I would like to take off this Carbine stock set-up and install a .308 MagPul PRS stock onto the Lower Receiver.

Now what Tube Extension, Spring and Buffer should I use for this Piston Rifle? Will a standard 5.56mm A2 tube, buffer and spring work? Or should I get a better more precise tube extension, spring and buffer designed for the .308 round? If so then which one would you recommend?

Thanks for your help.

There is also the LMT DRM stock that slides directly onto the carbine tube. I'm not entirely sold on it yet, but it is an option.

ETA: kind of a ripoff of the PRS, curious as to why Magpul didn't think of this first.
