I just screwed together a .243 Win with a Brux 1:7.5" barrel. Length is currently at 28", but it'll probably get cut back to 26" after I get some chrono data.

What bullet you plan on using? Will make a difference on twist. Barrel length I would go 26" plus or minus 2".

My old 243 was a 7.5 twist 27" barrel. Worked with 115s but a little fast for my lighter bullets. Present 243 is a 8.5 twist 26" set up for the Hornady 105 BTHP.
