So many different designs, there must be a few that aren't as loud, I don't mind giving up a little recoil reduction.

i have a surefire on mine, its really effective and I think it looks good too

I use a Badger Thruster break and have no complaints. It's excellent for taming recoil and my shooting partners don't complain about the noise. If you're looking for recoil reduction AND less noise, then you should check out the Suppressor forum. Not trying to be a smartass, but a suppressor really is the best of both worlds.

If you want a quieter brake, go with Vias. Big port brakes like the Holland and surefire and such are alot louder. The Vias has small holes on the end of the brake which makes it quieter.
