I hope I found the right area, I guess I pissed some people off before in the wrong forum..Sorry. Anyway....If someone broke into your house and you couldnt get to your gun (locked, no access, another room) what would you do? Just asking.

Re: What would you do?

Side arms, suppressors, and k bars. How is this the wrong forum? I own a side arm, and a k bar. I have 2 of 3. What is everyones prob here. Is there no person here that can answer a question? I think I found the wrong site...everyone here seems to be obsessed with the size of their guns, and they probably cant do anything with them. I will give credit to the few that post their results. I am a shooter that has been trained by the U.S. Army for 2 years, and have been shooting for a total of 17 years. This website is a joke to new people. You cant get a straight answer from anyone. Thought I would meet some people that had shared interests, but I guess I was wrong.

Re: What would you do?

Their are more capable shooters here then you can count. In fact this is a great place for knowledge on shooting in general. But when people come in here and as silly questions... it gets old. If you cant defend yourself in your own home then you need to hire a body guard.

You were trained by the US Army for 2 years? So you didnt put your full time in? How does that qualify you to judge the people on here, I would say there are multiple people here that could teach you things you have no clue about. And most are probably more highly skilled.

If you're so bothered by our answers then leave. I hear AR15.com is looking for new members.

You need to work on taking criticism a little better. Develop thick skin, it heslp.

Re: What would you do?

Before you ruffle the feathers of some of the more "excitable" guys here, let me tell you that there is a ridiculous wealth of free knowledge here. More than any other single site that I have found on these damned interwebs. And if you stick around for awhile, you'll see that most of the guys are eager to help when they can. At least that's been my experience. And none of these guys are going to be impressed by your 2 years of army training. Most of them have done their time operating, and you won't hear them say shit about it. Those are often the guys with the most knowledge, the ones that are content to sit back and watch others make asses of themselves.

As far as your question goes, it seems a little broad to me. I mean, there are a million different scenarios there that could play out a million different ways. Do you have a family in the house? Do you have a phone? Do you have other weapons (like a sweet ninja sword)? I could go on all night (but won't).

Anyway, if you decide to stick around, invest in some thicker skin and enjoy the site.

KYSHOOTER - your reply-fu was faster than mine.

Re: What would you do?

I don't lock up my guns.

My GSD doesn't have thumbs and the girls I bring home knew what they were getting into before I talked to them. I'm not worried about anyone breaking into my house.

I don't worry about much actually. Are you writing a news piece or just taking a break from your airsoft sites?

This guy is probably the one training the OP in his vast knowledge of Sniperish tactics.

He had 2 years in the Army, remember??!!

Holy crap....two whole years. Wow.

I am guessing you hit the snooze alarm on the day they did hand to hand. I am pretty sure I was less that a whole year into my military career when they taught me how to fight my way to a weapon....or use whatever I had at hand.

What kind of answer were you hoping for? You have one of three options when someone breaks into your house. Fight, run or die. I don't much like the last two options. If I can't access a firearm in my house it's because I am actively engaged in hand to hand combat.

I think this is a pretty damn funny question because even my wife who has no military training at all knows what to do when someone breaks into my house. I just pray the dog lets go of the guy before she empties the magazine into him.
