Leatherneck had an article a month or so ago about identical twin brothers that enlisted together in WWII.
They survived Iwo Jima.
When the Korea emergency required a call up they were both back in an infantry unit.
At the Chosin everyone got caught with their pants down. One of the two didn't make it. His brother spent as much time as he could behind lines looking for the body with no luck.
It seems to have been crushing as you would expect.
Saddest part in his magazine piece was his telling his parents as well as his brothers grown daughter some years later....
"He's never coming back, forget it".
The surviving brother has passed but it would be great if the surviving daughter gets to pay personal respects to her dad.
