Hey guys,

I have a couple of M4's and need to thin out the herd a bit so I'm thinking about putting one of my uppers for sale, but I'm not sure of the value of it.

Pre-Remington Bushmaster 14.5" 1/9 with a YMH Phantom 4-port.
Complete factory original bolt group and charging handle.
Tango Down vertical grip
Laure free-float 1-pc rail (7.0 i believe) with Knights Arm covers.

I've fired around 1200 - 1400 rounds through it but with having so many AR's something's gotta go. What do you guys think the value is if I decide to list on the WTS section here?

Re: What's my M4 upper worth?

There are some good deals on uppers out there for around $ 450-500 for a new, tricked out, quad rail, ready to go upper. May not be chrome lined, name brand, but out there. Also try AR15.com, they love thier .223's there.

I would guess around $ 400-500.

Once someone takes it and adds thier $ 250 complete lower, they could have bought a new, boxed M&P, Stag or DPMS

Re: What's my M4 upper worth?

I think with it being used and for what it is, you are only looking at about $250-300. Thats only because it is used, and the vertical grip and rail covers add little value to it.

Re: What's my M4 upper worth?

I would say, best case scenario, $600-$650, but more realistically $500-$550. The LaRue rail and included BCG should help it sell, but some will shy away from it being a BM and the 1/9.

I agree, there will probably buyers interested at ar15.com (but they tend to be bargain hunters).

Yeah. I don't bother with Arfcom anymore. Too many mall ninjas and other disrespectful people over there.

I'll get pictures of it later and throw it up on the exchange. Thanks for your help guys!

Re: What's my M4 upper worth?

Market is flooded with people like PSA putting out quality product for dirt cheap - my dad just picked up a 1x7" chrome lined HPT/MPI barreled upper with feed ramps and the whole shebang for $270 during a sale, an extra $120 for the bolt and he had a very nice system for under $400.

Its hard to sell something like a Bushmaster in a market environment like that. He wants me to sell his old Bushmaster 1x9 20" A3 upper with AK74 brake on it for him, and I'm thinking of maybe $350 WITH the bolt.
