I have $1000 to spend on a night vision scope and would like to hear some good recommendations. I'm looking for the clearest at the longest distance with no lighting because I plan on hunting hogs that may be 100+ yards. I'm looking forward to the feedback. Thanks in advance

You should save up a bit more and then reach out to Vic, Delta or Camille... Buying early and getting less than what you need (read as "want") at a fixed $1k will only upset you and waste both time and coin...

A bit more at $1895 2.8x M845 GEN 2SHP is a great scope for your ranges with its 2 moa red dot. M845 Mk.4 2.8X Gen2 SHP Red Dot Sight ? Tactical Night Vision Company

The M845 1.5x is $1395 for short range. Both these scopes are very fast movement scopes and have incredible FOV and rated for .308's as well. http://tnvc.com/shop/m845-1-5x-gen2-shp-red-dot-night-vision-rifle-scope/

One other choice that is well received is the PVS-4's at $1495.00. They are 4X systems with lots of light gathering ability with their CAT lens but heavier.

I got the PVS 4 from TNVC, it is not a do everything scope but you will be hard pressed to find more capability for the same money.
The good part to me was it works better than TNVC said it would, they did not overstate it.
I have found the vendors on this site to be straight up and thats what earns my dollars.

The guys above are right about the cost factor. How do you plan on hunting hogs? Stationary from a blind? Moving on foot or in a vehicle? You may want to start with a pvs-14 and 3x magnifier behind a eotech. This way you can use the night vision to spot and stalk then move it to the weapon for the shot. Then upgrade to a dedicated scope later. If you just have a night vision scope and it is your only way to see at night that means you are pointing your rifle at everything you want to look at.
