What's the best stock for a savage sporter?

I have a savage sporter in 308 with accutrigger that I like pretty well. I'm looking to upgrade the stock. I want something stiff and light and under $200 if that's possible.

It's a 4.25 spacing, so an accustock is out of the question.

Recommendations?

I agree with the Duramax. Did a build a few years ago and it turned out well.

for your price point, your best bet is either a boyds laminate stock or a moneysaver stock from Stockade.

no, the Duramaxx is only for the blind mag staggerfeed IIRC, which is what the OP has

The Carbelite is a good choice as well, and its right at your price point.
