Gunsmithing Whats your favorite 700 extractor?

Just curious what the best extractor upgrade is for say a 308 cal 700. I have a Sako extractor in my custom 700. I just saw someone that said they were using the M-16 extractor on their 700 308.. Whats your take on this? Reliability, Damage on brass?.. Just curious..........Thanks.....SmokeRolls

I've heard too many stories of flying Sako extractors upon case rupture. Would stick with standard as 1st choice or M16 as second.

The stock one works, I see no need for anything else.

M-16 style on my lap-mag,works flawlessly at this point.

I agree with everyone else, the factory one works fine. I have not a problem yet.

The extractor on the M700 and the M7400 are the same and while I've never heard of a problem with it in the M700 in the M7400 they are notorious for breaking as they are just a tiny little spring steel piece.
