I've got a lifetime supply of WC-860 for my .50... enough that I'd consider building a "small" magnum rifle just to help use it. I know it's common for .338 and up, but I'm interested in an overbore caliber in the 6-7mm range with heavy bullets. Anybody else tried the 860/872 range of powders in 30 caliber or smaller?
What'ts the smallest caliber you've used WC-8XX powder in?

30-338 and 7mm WSM. Worked great. I too had a bunch, then got rid of all magnums and had friends and relatives who needed some slow powder. ...Then I got some more magnums... 
7mm RemMag with 175+ heavies and a 26+ barrel. I used a mess of Wc857 with good results.

Added: Now that you mention it, one of the guys who bought an 8# keg from me used duplex loads for his 45-90? It's been a few years, But, I believe he loaded it with 1680 and then put the 869/870 on top of that for a compressed load. All duplex's need to be at least 100% or the faster ignition powder will gravitate up into the slow powder load.
IIRC, the reason he used that powder in a duplex load was it was $25 for an 8# keg. The 1680 charge was minimal, like 5-10 gr.? Don't quote me, because I never did it and you would have to find your own answers as to how it is safely done.
