Is hornady discontinuing the 80 grain amax? I cant find any anywhere. IF anyone has some and wants to sell them or trade for anything else PM me. I have to to order 80 SMKs which I have not tried yet, but I like AMAX.

If you can't keep up on supplying bullet the machine is already making, why take the time to reconfigure machine to make a different bullet?
80 SMK, 80 NCC, Berger 80 VLD / 80.5 full bore / 82 Match BT or JLK 75 / 80 VLDs should fill in nicely.

I hope they are not considering dropping this offering. The 80gr Amax shoots lights out in my wife's Savage .223 with the 1:7 twist.

I just worked up a new load for my 223 with 80 gr VLD's because i could not find any 75 gr AMAX's. I'm thinking with the results I had yesterday, I may not go back to the AMAX at least in this gun.

80 gr. amax shot like crap out of my .223 Berger VLD shot consistent sub 1/4moagr. 80 SMK shot really good but a full 1/4 moa worse than the vld did.
