I want to order a Smith Enterprises Vortex flash hider for it but Smith needs to know the length of the threads the factory cut into the rifles muzzle. Can't find it any where on the Remington web site.

There are a couple of different adapters and they use different thread depths. One is a .635" deep socket and the other is .750" deep. I'll shoot you an e-mail of the entire AAC Thread Guide, so take a look at sheet numbers 20 and 21. You'll have to measure the adapter to see which one you have....

My guess would be .575" to .600"

Thanks, I guess I'll have to call Remington for the exact dimension. The guy today at Smith Enterprises wanted and exact measurement before he would specify which Vortex flash hider I should use.

There is a standard class of threads. Yours should fall into this category. There's only the following

5/8x24 class 3A
5/8x24 class 2A

The suppressor or internal threads are going to be class 3B and will work with either 2A or 3A
