I was installing a 3x magnifier and mount on my rifle today--before I knew it, I had these two springs laying under it and I have no clue where they came from. I moved around my Eotech, Magpul BUIS, and the mount and magnifier of course. Everything seems to function 100% and I'm guessing these are from either the magnifier mount or the buis??? I have no clue. Someone help me out here please...

Those look like mag release springs. They may be used wherever you have a quick release attachment to all that 'picatinny' you have on there. Stock slide?

Mag release still functions, quick release on the American Defense swing mount still works, the stock still slides, everything still works. But it's bugging the crap out of me where these dang springs came from.

I think those springs go between the mount and the locking clamp. It works without them, but the springs push the clamp open when the lever is flipped making it easier to put on and off.

whats funny is when you include the spring out of a ballpoint pin, or a tiny length of wire on a buddies kit. Sit back and enjoy the confusion before you tell them whats up. Have a beer or be ready to run when you tell them though.
