Decided on building up my next rifle out of a R700 SPS Varmint in .300 WinMag, and fitting it in a Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist A5 Stock.. However, I notice a lot of you have a 10rd detachable box magazine, but I only find hinged floorplate R700's? Is there a model of the R700 that comes with detachable magazines, or is there a modification thread around here to make them fit?

That mod specifically states its for the Accuracy International stocks.. Would it work with the Bell & Carlson ?

Yeah it'll work with your B&C A5, but you'll need to have a gunsmith inlet the stock for the DBM and any number of shops will do that for about $80. It won't work with the factory BDL inlet.
PTG offers an M5 clone metal for $129 that is the same footprint as the above-linked Badger, but it doesn't come with a magazine like the Badgers do.
CDI Precision is another good option, and Jeff @ CDI will inlet your stock for $60 which includes shipping back to you. I have two of his DBMs on Savages and Jeff does great inlet work.
