I'd like to know who the "they" is on an auction site who won't sell there. Am I to understand that Gunbroker specifically refuses to allow Californians to successfully bid on auctions?

Exactly. In fact, I recently won and successfully transfered a rifle off that site. Funny how that works.

A non-Cali dealer to a Cali dealer transfer requires that the non-Cali dealer get a Dealer # & ok from the Cali DOJ. A non-dealer can legally ship to a licensed FFL within Cali without having to go thru the Cali DOJ paperwork. At least that's what a well known Cali dealer told me.
