I've only seen a few of theses. Are they custom, or is someone distributing them?

Looks like the AIAX to me. Do you want the whole rifle or just the AICS AX chassis?

Ooops. I stand corrected. It was late and I didn't noticed the thumbhole butt.

You can't put thumbhole skins on a AX without some work. I was looking at it last night and you could make them fit but you would have to shorten them a bit and cut the half moon for the plate on the buttpad. The top screw holes and everything lines up but you'd have to drill the third hole for the skin screws with the thumbhole skins.

The other option is to purchase a AT AICS or legacy AICS and swap the rear sections which I believe is what they did for the rifle in the pic. It's supposedly not too hard but you do have to heat the adhesive they use. It's probably not a job for the average hobbyist but it's doable.

If I remember correctly from the original thread this pic is from, the smith who built this rifle took that back half of an AICS 2.0 and the front half of an AX. I assume he welded them together. That's a Badger M2013 action btw...

That was done by my smith Patrick Jones @ TTGC and it's not just skins. I have seen him put them together pretty slick, no welding or heating required and yes that's a Badger 2013. Give him a call and he will fix you up 303-651-0816
