Where to get AI barrel?

I need a FDE .308 AI barrel for an AXMC but Eurooptic and Mile High are out of stock. Who else may have one? (20" or 24" preferable with threads)

Krylon nutmeg is $4.99 and is pretty dang close to AI Pale Brown. Can you tell which parts are rattle canned?? Hint my bipod is cerakoted

I want the barrel to match the gun. The Krylon nutmeg has me thinking though. Is there a higher quality barrel than the AI factory barrel?

Krylon nutmeg is pretty damn close. In fact, it might look a bit better with a little offset like that. Of course that's your decision!

Hard to beat a factory barrel in the AXMC's really. At least in shipping speed. Like anything else, you can go crazy in the custom arena.

For instance, I will be getting left-hand twists in all my magnum barrels when the time comes. Too many barrels now, not enough time!

What color is closest to AI FDE?

There is no Duracoat, Cerakote or Krylon exact match. Only AI distributors are allowed to use that exact color.

You can however have a custom color mixed to match. There are some colors that are very close though. Close enough to where it wouldn't look bad at all.

I think cerakote color H-250Q is close I believe but could be wrong.

Hmmm...I wonder if you took the AI barrel's cerakoted thread protector into a Home Depot, had them color match it on their machine (spits out RGB values), and then just had the local paint store mix up some Polthane or some such to match it(?). Just thinking out loud here....

Pretty hard to go wrong with Mile High. My 6.5 barrel is excellent. May not be flashy as one of the big name guys but it shoots well.

Here is a Duracoat "Tactical Desert Beige". I just had some that was going to go bad so I air-gunned my thread protectors with it a few years back. I had a better picture somewhere but I can't seem to find it. There may be a better match than this though, perhaps "Woodland Tan".
