HEllo All,
I have been looking for legit para cord. I was told that 7 strand cord should have 7 braided strands inside the cord is this true? Most places that sale the cord dont have that many braided strands in it most of them only have 2 or 3 braided strands. Also looking for a place that has good color selection. any help would be great thanks

Re: Where to get para cord?

rwrope.com is where I buy my 550 cord. I think it's around $45.00 for a 1200 ft spool.

The stuff that is actual milspec 550 cord has one of the strands color coded to each manufacturer that is unique to each manufacturer. This enable the military to track the manufacturer down should something happen to the 550 cord.

The commercial stuff that I use doesn't have the identifier strand but still has the same weight rating, that's why it's cheaper than the authentic milspec 550 cord.
