Which 1" tactical rings?

I've narrowed down my search to Seekins, Leupold Mark 4 steel, & Badger Ordnance for 1" tactical rings.

Pro Con
Badger Steel Needs ring reducers (30mm to 1")
Seekins Lowest profile to barrel Aluminum
Leupold Steel Large nut sticking out

I guess if I wanted to upgrade to a 30mm scope at a later point, then the Badger would be the best option, but I'm not sure how tight a lockup would be with ring reducers.
I like the Seekins sleek profile and how close it mounts to the barrel, but not that it's aluminum.
& the Leupolds have the huge nut sticking out, which may be pretty trivial I suppose. I just wonder if the bolt would risk loosening up over time.

Thanks

I would go with the Badgers with the insert. You are likely to eventually upgrade to a 30mm optic and then you won't have to drop coin on another set of the pricey, yet excellent, Badgers. Also consider TPS and Burris XTR rings.

Re: Which 1" tactical rings?

Don't dismiss the use of inserts. I'm running Badgers with inserts on a 7mm Rem Mag - no sign of slipping or ring marks.

If you are entertaining moving to a 30mm optic later, buy 30mm rings now. If not, go with a 1" ring.

Bottom line, go with quality products.

Re: Which 1" tactical rings?

I got Leupold low PRWs on an EGW rail for my Bushnell elite 10x. Its a really good fit. I dunno if you really want the look of something like mark4s or seekins,or if function is the goal. Figure for less than 40 bux they will do the job and I dont need to worry about them.

Re: Which 1" tactical rings?

Thanks for the input everyone. I decided to go with the Leupold Mark 4 steel rings. I figure I probably won't upgrade to a 30mm scope on this rig. I don't really plan on shooting past 300 yards, so there's no need really.

Thanks again
